We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications); payment details (including credit card information), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile.

When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.

We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.  

 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. The following is a copy of the privacy policy from the application we use to collect product reviews, called "Comments":

"Comments (the "Application") is a Social plugin offered through our partner marketplaces, namely Wix and Weebly. The Application is provided by CodeMagic LTD and Kodio LTD, both incorporated in Israel (the "Application Developer", "us" or "we"). The service is provided for individuals and businesses that look to incoroporate commenting functionality in their website (the "User" or "you"). This Privacy Policy defines which information we collect about the User, the User's site and from visitors to the User's site ("Visitors").

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

The Application does not collect or send any kind of personally identifiable information, except for the following: Facebook/Twitter/Google+/VK user identifier for Visitors who signed in with their social network account, Wix user identifier for Visitors who signed in with their Wix Members account, email address for Visitors who signed in with their email address. In addition, the Application also stores the name of the Visitor, as provided by the Visitor or by the social network / Wix Hive API, and the Visitors's profile photo URL where applicable. The Visitor's name and profile photo link information is used for displaying the Visitor's information next to the comments generated by the Visitor. The email address of the Visitors and the social account identifier are displayed to the User as part of the email notifications features, and are also available for the User as a part of a report which can be obtained through the Application's dashboard.

The Visitors may enter any information, possibly including their own personal information or a third party personal information, into the comments posted by them. The Application Developer does not hold any liability for the contents of the comments posted by visitors or by the site owner, and for any personal information that might be contained within. The Application Developer may delete any comment, at their own discretion, should the comment infringe the privacy or intellectual property rights of any third party.

The Application may collect activity data for actions performed within the Application (such as visiting the help or setting screens, or clicking any of the buttons) using Google Analytics and Mixpanel. The activity data will be stored alongside an identifier which uniquely idenitifes the User's website.

This activity data is used to create reports about the use of the Application. We always strive to make the Application better, and we use this information as a basis for improving the Application. Google and Mixpanel store this information. Some of this information is also stored in Google Cloud BigQuery for further analysis. See Google's privacy policy andMixpanel's privacy policy.

The information about the comments is stored in a database called Firebase, a part of the Google Cloud Platform. You can review their security policies in Google Cloud Platform's Security Whitepaper, and refer to Google Cloud's Terms of Use and Data Processing and Security Terms.

The Application uses a service called Sentry for collecting information about errors and bugs that happens from time to time in the Application. While we do not share any user information with Sentry on a regular basis, some of the errors may include relevant user information which is related for the error that has occurred and will be used by our technical teams to troubleshoot the error. This information may include a unique user identifier, and any information entered by the user in any page. WHERE THE INFORMATION IS PROCESSED

The Application Developer is based in Israel. No matter where you are located, you consent to the processing and transferring of your information in and to the Israel, the U.S. and other territories.

DATA RETENTION

We generally retain our Users' data as long as they use our service, and for a period of at least one year after the Application has been removed from the Users' website. We may automatically remove data for Users who have been inactive for a period of one year or more, from time to time, or anonymize this data. Data may persist in copies made for backup purposes for additional time.

REQUESTING A COPY OF YOUR DATA

Users can request a copy of the data we store for their site at any time, by contacting our support team through support@commentsplugin.com and identifying themselves as the owners of the respective site. We may require users to provide additional proofs of identity in order to process their request. The data will be provided in computer-readable format, i.e. a JSON, CSV or XML file.

REQUESTING DELETION OF YOUR DATA

Users can request their data to be removed from our database, by contacting our support team through support@commentsplugin.com and identifying themselves as the owners of the respective site. We may require users to provide additional proofs of identity in order to process their request. Once we have verified the identity of the user, we will remove all the data related to their site from our database.

ADDITIONAL THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS

We use third-party service providers to provide some of the functionality of the application. These providers include:

  • Mailgun - Used for the email notification feature

  • Cloudflare - Content Delivery Network and Firewall

  • Freshdesk - Customer service and support center

 

THIRD PARTY LINKS

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third party products or services on our website. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

CHILDREN'S PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, please refrain from submitting any personal information in the Application. We will promptly delete any personal information related to individuals under the age of 13 if we discover such information or upon receiving any report about such information.

BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS, MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS

In an event that we (or any of our assets) are acquired by another person or company (the Acquiring Entity), whether by merger, acquisition, bankruptcy or otherwise, we may assign or transfer this Policy, as well as your account and related information, records, and data, including any personal information, to Acquiring Entity.

ALL RISK OF QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF THE SOFTWARE OR SERVICES REMAINS WITH YOU. BY INSTALLING OR USING THIS APPLICATION, YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS PROVIDED IN THIS DISCLAIMER AND THE FOLLOWING LIMITATION OF LIABILITY DISCLAIMER.
