Hydrosols are also known as floral water or plant water. They are the product of steam distilling herbs. They are much milder and gentler than essential oils and you get to benefit from the properties of the full plant matter, not just the volatile(essential) oils of the plant.
We grow a lot of lemongrass bushes here on our farm. I love cutting them and hanging bundles around our house for the sweet, lemony smell and to deter mosquitos.
Lemongrass hydrosol makes a great facial toner and mood lifter. It can be used on your skin to deter bugs. It is wonderful for your hair and scalp. This hydrosol can be also be used as a room & linen spray.
